UPON A LADY WHO HURT HER FOOT BY TREADING ON A THORN.
If gay Calista, in the flow'ry road
Of vice, perchance upon a thorn had trod,
Impatient she'd have born the pain;
But you've no right, my Delia to complain:
For oft we've heard the pious vicar say, 
The path of virtue is a thorny way.'
